Before you begin

Driver updates for Windows 10, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how:

A bit old even if it works:-) The Acer website only have Win 7 & Win 8 drivers for this monitor and I’m on the latest 64bit version of Windows 10 Pro. The official answer from Acer is 'these are the only drivers we have' which is not as helpful as it could☹. .icc - Supplies Windows with information on the color profile and range of colors the monitor can support. After boot or reboot the icons on the desctop gets a litlle bit bigger (about 10%). My idea was that it might be caused by the missing monitor driver. The monitor was recocnised by Windows as a standard PNP monotor. I have found a Win 7, 8.0, 8.1 driver for the monitor, and now Windows register the monitor correct, but it has not solved the.

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

  2. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update.

  3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

  4. Select Update Driver.

  5. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

Reinstall the device driver

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

  2. Central music sound cards & media devices driver. Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall.

  3. Restart your PC.

  4. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
